Text message (SMS) terms

These terms describe the text messages sent by tidbok, a service of Harb Labs LLC, on behalf of people who host events and invite their guests. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
What the messages are
tidbok text messages are event invitations and RSVP reminders, sent one to one. A host enters the phone numbers of people they know and want to invite to a specific event, for example a child's birthday party. Each guest receives a text with the host's name, the event name and a link to an RSVP page where they can answer Yes, Maybe or No without creating an account. There is no marketing or promotional content.

How often
- One invitation text per person for each event.
- If the host turns on reminders, at most one reminder to a guest who has not responded.
- No other messages unless you reply to us. We do not send texts between 9 pm and 8 am in the event's time zone; they are held until the morning.
How hosts get permission
Before sending, the host confirms: “I know these people and have their permission to text them this invitation.” Hosts are responsible for inviting only people they know. We do not add anyone to a mailing list, and your number is never used for anything except the invitation it was entered for.
This is the screen a host sees when adding guests. The host cannot send text invitations until the confirmation box is ticked.
Stop and help
- To stop: reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any message. You will get one confirmation, and we will not text that number again, for any host or event. You can reply START to allow messages again.

Costs
tidbok does not charge you for these texts. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your phone number
Phone numbers are used only to deliver the invitation and reminders, and to honour opt-outs. We do not sell them or share them for marketing. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers entered by a host are deleted when the event or the host's account is deleted, except for a record that the number opted out, which we keep so we never text it again. See our Privacy Policy.
