Your Data Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws, you have the right to access, control, and manage your personal data. tidbok is committed to helping you exercise these rights easily and transparently.
1. Right to Access (Data Export)
You can request a full copy of all personal data we hold about you. This includes your profile information, event history, calendar data, contact groups, social connections, subscription records, and AI interaction history. To request your data:
- In-app: Go to Settings → Privacy → Export My Data
- By email: Send a request to privacy@tidbok.com
We will provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON) within 30 days of your request.
2. Right to Rectification
If any of your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to correct it. You can update most information directly in your profile settings. For data that cannot be edited through the app, contact us at privacy@tidbok.com.
3. Right to Erasure (Account Deletion)
You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data. This action is irreversible. To delete your account:
- In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- By email: Send a deletion request to privacy@tidbok.com
Upon deletion, we will remove all your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics, or as required by law (e.g., billing records for tax compliance, retained for up to 7 years).
4. Right to Restrict Processing
You can request that we limit how we use your data. For example, you can opt out of AI-powered recommendations while keeping your account active. To make this request, contact us at privacy@tidbok.com or adjust your preferences in Settings → Privacy → Data Processing.
5. Right to Data Portability
You can export your data and move it to another service. The data export (see Section 1) includes all information in a portable JSON format. Calendar data can also be exported as an iCal (.ics) file compatible with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.
6. Right to Object
You can object to the processing of your personal data for certain purposes, including direct marketing and profiling. To exercise this right:
- Marketing: Unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, or go to Settings → Notifications
- Profiling: Disable personalized recommendations in Settings → Privacy → Personalization
7. Automated Decision-Making
tidbok uses AI to provide event recommendations and personalized suggestions. These are supplementary features and no significant decisions are made solely through automated processing. You can disable AI-powered features at any time in your privacy settings.
8. Data Protection Officer
For any data protection inquiries or to exercise your rights, contact our data protection team:
- Email: privacy@tidbok.com
- Response time: We respond to all data requests within 30 days
9. Supervisory Authority
